MUSIC IN FILM - SEE & HEAR THE HOW & WHY
MODERATED BY BERNARD BAUR (Music Connection Magazine, Musicians Institute)
Saturday, Sept 20, 1:00 – 2:30PM, The Movie Experience, Tower Plaza
This special panel event highlights how different music affects a scene (for better or worse) using visuals and discussions on the process of music choices in film projects. A top music industry panel comprised of music supervisors and film professionals will bring scenes from their films – and we see how a scene changes when it has No Music, Temp Music, Preferred Music, and the Final Music. The discussion will encompass how music is researched and found, how it is spotted and auditioned, how each song choice changed the scenes, and why the final decisions were made (creative vs. business). Additionally, the panelists will give insights into how songs find their way to film projects, share some “to do and not to do” tips on pitching music to films, and end with an audience Q&A session. Panelists include music supervisors Art Ford, Chris Violette and Michael Lloyd.
Moderator - BERNARD BAUR is an artist crusader and award-winning journalist.
