FESTIVAL BEGINS: Sept. 15, 2010
The Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF) is a competitive Festival. Winners are determined by a Film Jury and by Audience Choice. The festival is open to US and Foreign films in five categories: Narrative Features, Live Action and Animated Shorts, Documentaries and Student Films. You may enter your film through Withoutabox.com or the Festival website, www.tviff.com.
To be eligible, a film entry must have been completed in 2008, 2009 and 2010. All film entries must be submitted on DVD (Region 0 or Region 1. NO PAL formats accepted. NTSC only. DVD’s should be clearly labeled with film title, running time and contact info. Please test DVD on several players to make sure it is playable. DVD screeners will not be returned.
Non-English language films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
There is a non refundable fee of $30 (Students, $15). FYI, early bird, $25 (Students, $10). Late Entries, $35 (Students $20).
WAB Extended Deadline, $45 (Students, $30). Entries must be submitted with the entry fee and entry form which includes, a plot synopsis, cast and crew list, basic technical details and complete contact information. You may submit more than one entry. However, a separate entry form, preview copy and entry fee are required for each title.
Payment is accepted only in U.S. dollars, by check payable to Temecula Valley Int’l Film & Music Festival, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Do not send cash.
Please note, only those accepted will be notified. Acceptance notices will be sent via e-mail or fax, on (approximately) Aug. 8, 2010. Accepted films will also be posted on the festival’s website, www.tviff.com. If selected, a 35mm print, Digibeta or BetaSp must be in the TVIFF office, Sept. 1, 2010, clearly labeled with return shipping information or current contact address, email and / or telephone number.
If selected, you will also be asked to send press kits (digital, ok) which include B&W or color stills from the film, press materials, video trailer (if available) or MPEG video clips for web site inclusion.
Film prints and other film materials will be handled with utmost care, but neither TVIFF organizers nor supporting organizations can assume responsibility for damage or loss of the print and other film materials while en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival’s possession of the film.
Film producers / distributors are responsible for shipment of films to TVIFF. TVIFF will pay for one – way return shipment of films. TVIFF will not pay for international freight of US based films.
It is important for a selected film to have a presence at the festival. TVIFF encourages all selected films to have at least one member of the film’s production staff / and or cast present.
All film entries selected for the Festival grant TVIFF the rights to use footage, stills, titles and information from the film for promotional purposes. The act of submitting this form constitutes acceptance without reservation of all rules of TVIFF. |
