How many entries do you receive and how many are chosen?
All film and music entries go through a rigorous process by a Program Selection Committee. In addition, TVIFF considers input from the community through information obtained at the community sneak previews and music review sessions.
In the film category, we received approximately 600 entries and expect to screen 80 to 100 films. Film categories include: full length features, shorts, documentaries, animation, student and foreign films. We use the online submission capability via Without A Box, an international online exchange that provides filmmakers the tools they need to make film festival submission both easy and accessible.
For the music component, we received online submissions via Sonicbids which streamlined the music entry process. The selected music artists of the year will be featured in the MusicFest Showcase and included in TVIFF's Annual Compilation CD. |
