All creative work such as writing, shooting, and editing must take place within the 48-hour time period. This international contest takes place in 80 cities world-wide. The films in the 48 Hour Film Project showcase are the top 13 films from this year's San Diego 48HFP and were created between 7pm, August 14th and 7pm, August 16th, 2009. Each team drew a random genre out of a hat, and then all were assigned a character, line of dialog, and prop which had to be included in their film:

"Every second counts when you only have 48 hours to make a film." Visit www.48hourfilm.com for more information about this contest and how to get involved.
