The Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival is now accepting entries for both film and music.

The deadline for both film and music submissions for the 2005 festival was July 30, 2005 and SUBMISSIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED. This information is presented for reference ONLY. Information about how to make submissions for the 2006 Festival will appear on this page in the near future.

CALL FOR ENTRY GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

ENTRY DEADLINE: July 30, 2005.

The festival is open to US and Foreign films in five categories: Full Length Features, Shorts, Documentaries, Animation and Student Films

To be eligible, a film entry must have been completed in 2003, 2004 or 2005. All film entries must be submitted on 1⁄2” VHS NTSC Videocassette or DVD to be considered for selection. Submission tapes / DVD’s will not be returned.

There is a non-refundable processing fee of $25 (Students, $10). Entries must be submitted with the processing fee. Entries must include a synopsis, cast/crew list, production stills and press kits, if any. All photos provided must be clearly identified on the back, will not be returned and may be used for festival promotions. Acceptance notices will be sent by mail, e-mail or fax, on Aug.15, 2005. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO LARGE NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS, ONLY THOSE SELECTED WILL BE NOTIFIED.

If selected, a 35mm print or Beta/Beta SP must be in the TVIFF office by Sept. 5, 2005. All film prints have to be on projection reels, heads out. Anything other than a 35mm will be screened on Beta / Beta SP video format. Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

Film prints and other film materials will be handled with utmost care, but neither TVIFF organizers nor supporting organizations can assume responsibility for damage or loss of the print and other film materials while en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival’s possession of the film.

Film producers / distributors are responsible for shipment of films to TVIFF. The film title and name of entrant must be on all mailing containers, mailing labels, can reels and film leaders. All containers must be numbered. (Ex: 1 of 1. 2 of 3, etc)

It is important for a selected film to have a presence at the festival. TVIFF encourages all selected films to have at least one member of the film’s production staff / and or cast, present, for the screenings and special events of the festival.

All selected films (except for those that have had prior theatrical screenings or cable/TV broadcast or those who request to be screened out of competition) are automatically eligible for Competition Winners are determined by an International Film Jury and by Audience Choice.

The act of submitting this form constitutes acceptance without reservation of all rules of TVIFF. All checks should be made payable to: Temecula Valley Int’l Film Festival.

MUSICFEST SHOWCASE CALL FOR ENTRY GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

ENTRY DEADLINE: JULY 30, 2005

This significant world class music showcase component of the 2005 Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival is designed to showcase original music vision and artistic wizardry of talented individuals and groups from across America and the world.

Who can participate? Emerging, up and coming unsigned performing artists and bands. Vocal performers may be a solo, duo, trio, quartet or an ensemble.

Soon after the deadline date for submission (JULY 30, 2005), judges will select the Festival’s TOP TEN MUSIC ARTISTS. These TOP TEN MUSIC ARTISTS will then be showcased at the ALL DAY SATURDAY MUSICFEST, Sept. 17, 2005, and will be featured in the Festival’s 11th Anniversary Celebration CD. Due the large number of submissions, only the top ten music artists selected will be notified via E-mail, phone and/or FAX, on or before Aug. 15, 2005.

Why Participate? Exposure to film and music industry professionals who have the ability, connections and influence to help jump start your career is one major reason!

What genres of music are considered? From Rock to Pop, Jazz to Country, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Blues, Folk to World, etc.

For consideration, applications must be submitted with all the required elements by July 30, 2005.

ORIGINAL MUSIC & LIVE PERFORMANCES ONLY. NO LIP SYNCHING.

Applications must include the following:

1. A tape, CD or Video with no less than 2 tracks to listen to.

2. A photo of artist or band, clearly labeled in the back. Photos will not be returned.

3. Artist or Band Bio and the type of music performed.

4. Press kits and any media information available.

5. Cashier's Check or Money Order for $25, made payable to: "Temecula Valley Int'l Film Festival".
