Temecula, CA --- Indie Music Artists from two major music markets coasts - Los Angeles and New York. Two local Rock bands from Murrieta. Two separate Pop artists from different parts of Canada. There are even two Brandons. Two is a magic number as this year's 11th annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF) slated for September 14-22,2005 at the Movie Experience 10 at Tower Plaza (E. I-15 @Ynez Road & Rancho California Rd. ) officially expands its Music Fest to TWO FULL DAYS, Friday, September 16th, 2005 from 7-11 p.m. and Saturday, September 17th, 2005 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

President of Heyday, Robert Rankin Walker, former singer/guitarist for San Francisco bay area popsters "Caffeine", says he runs the label from the artists point of view. He doesn't believe in exclusive contracts and says the bands should have say in all areas from the artwork to promotion.
This year's Music Critique Panelists include an impressive roster of music industry professionals. Heading that list is this year's TVIFF Lifetime Achievement Honoree and three-time Grammy nominee, Composer, Steve Dorff who has been honored with more than forty BMI and eleven Billboard #1 awards, in addition to winning the NSAI Songwriter of the Year Award. His roster of #1 songs for major motion pictures, television and theatre, includes Kenny Rogers' classic Through The Years and Anne Murray's Billboard #1 I Just Fall In Love Again. His numerous hits have been sung by Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, George Strait, Vanessa Williams and countless others, with TV/Cable credits including TIN CUP, MICHAEL, THE QUICK AND THE DEAD, BRONCO BILLY AND ROCKY IV. He is an Emmy Nominee for five television compositions, his credits are exemplary and include such stalwarts as "Murphy Brown" and "Murder She Wrote". You'll also find his name on evergreens like "Growing Pains", 'Alien Nation", "Spenser for Hire", "Major Dad", "Columbo", and last year's break-out hit "Reba.
Steve Dorff is a fantastic addition to our panel this year - not only because he's receiving his TVIFF Lifetime Achievement Award, but he adds such value to the panel. It's significant - I have been telling these musicians about what the MusicFest affords them, the real key is exposure and opportunities for possible film, television or commercial work, states Jo Moulton, Festival Director.
Joining Dorff on the panel is Art Ford whose eight-year BMG Music Publishing film and television music marketing career as Vice President of his division drove him to take his pioneering efforts of creating the first music showcase for Sundance Film Festival, which was a VH-1 televised special to being brought in as the Music Supervisor for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT. In addition to executing an industry first with BMG becoming the first exclusive sponsor of the Clio Awards to heading up his own company in January 2001, June St. Entertainment to license music in AUSTIN POWERS, COLLATERAL, BARBERSHOP 2, CHARLIE'S ANGELS, THE BOURNE IDENTITY and TV'S DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, THE OSBOURNES, THE SHIELD and many others.

He's also Co-Founder and Director of the Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase, the organization that provided exposure and showcased songwriting talents of many new writer/artists including such successful artists as Stevie Nicks, Warren Zevon, Janis Ian, Stephen Bishop, and one of the world's most prolific and successful contemporary songwriter, Diane Warren.
Personally developing the careers of more than 1,800 artists, to date, working the last 20 years, helping several major and independent labels Tim Sweeney is a highly sought after expert and consultant in the fields of artist development, label development, distribution, publicity, radio promotion, Internet marketing and retail marketing. From President of his own successful management company to becoming the author of an international best selling book, Tim Sweeney's Guide to Releasing Independent Records, it's no wonder Sweeney is sought after to be a featured keynote speaker at music conventions such as SXSW, The Songwriters Expo, NARAS, Grammys in the Schools,The Los Angeles Book Festival, Borders Books and Music. Major Sponsors Step Up
Support for 11th Annual Temecula Valley
International Film and Music Festival.
TEMECULA, CA --- It’s been a huge
stretch for the long haul and in the past
couple of years, an explosion of growth
beyond measure. While filmmakers and
musicians from all over the world have begun
to recognize all Temecula has to offer,
awareness and recognition of the festival’s
impact to the economic and cultural
landscape of the City of Temecula has also
grown. Slated for September 14-22nd, 2005
celebrating a four day expansion from years
past at The Movie Experience at Tower Plaza
(25735 Ynez Road), this new nine-day event
has received increased sponsorship support
and commitment to the event, to date, by the
City of Temecula, Pechanga Resort &
Casino, Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac, The
Rancon Group, The Outdoor Channel, Guidant
Corporation, Blockbuster Video and Callaway
Coastal.
“The festival is proud and appreciative
of the confidence the City and the business
community has given the event. The diverse,
original film and music fare we have
programmed over the years, the star power we
have brought, the prestigious alliances we
have forged, not to mention the upscale,
cultural, educational and glamour
entertainment event image we have developed,
indeed make this festival an excellent
branding and effective marketing vehicle
that drive tourism to the city,” states
Festival Director, Jo Moulton.
“The City of Temecula wholly supports
the Temecula Valley International Film
Festival as their efforts over the last
decade to introduce such cultural arts into
our community has truly made us a more
well-rounded City. TVIFF’s accomplishments
to this point have been nothing short of
phenomenal and the City warmly welcomes
filmmakers and musicians from across America
and around the globe. I cannot wait to
experience another enjoyable year”,
commented Temecula Mayor, Jeff Comerchero.
The festival, which started from a mere
600 attendees from Day One – and grew well
past 10,000 attendees last year in
conjunction with it’s 10th anniversary
celebration, has been fortunate to have many
other steadfast sponsors aside from the
city, within the community who have been
with TVIFF from its grassroots humble
beginnings, including both The Rancon Group
and Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac
“I have been involved as a sponsor of
the festival for the past eleven years,
simply because I have a love and passion for
the arts. I’m President of the Theatre
Foundation, a fundraising organization to
build a community theatre in Old Town
Temecula and my wife is President of two
theatre groups, the Fine Arts Network and
Children’s Applause Theatre – so we’re
both quite actively involved in the arts in
Temecula. What Jo Moulton has been doing out
here creating a quality film festival is
just staggering. It’s great for the
community. It’s great for the arts and it’s
a lot of fun being involved with it,”
explains Dan Stephenson, Chariman/CEO of The
Rancon Group.
“We've considered it a privilege to
have the opportunity to have been involved
with the Temecula Valley International Film
and Music Festival as they have endeavored
to enhance the cultural arts in the valley.
The festival's growth is indicative of the
efforts of the organization, the enthusiasm
of its leadership and the support and
receptiveness of the community,” states
Terry Gilmore, Owner-Operator, Paradise
Chevrolet Cadillac.
No stranger to the festival, is Pechanga
Resort & Casino. But this time their
participation is major. They are this year’s
Black Tie Awards Gala Night Presenting
Sponsor on Saturday, September 17th, 2005,
which includes Lifetime Achievement and
Outstanding Career Achievement Awards. In
years past honorees have included such
legendary talent as the late Ray Charles,
Karl Malden, Robert Wise, Carl Reiner, Etta
James, Shirley Jones and honorees such as
John Spencer, Michael York and last year,
Louis Gossett, Jr. and Lou Rawls. This year’s
Gala Night has already been proud to
announce The American Film Institute (AFI)
as its inaugural Distinguished Institution
Award. AFI will be honored for its
significant role and remarkable
contributions to the preservation and
advancement of the art of American Film and
Television. AFI Director/CEO, Jean
Firstenberg will be accepting. Leonard
Maltin is the first individual announced as
TVIFF’s Outstanding Career Achievement
Honoree for his significant contributions to
film as historian, critic and author. Actor,
Actress, Producer, Director and Music
Artists award recipients will be announced
later.
“Pechanga is really proud to be a
presenting sponsor of the festival. While we
started with tents and trailers to a grand
resort hotel, the festival has grown every
year with more visitors, film and music
submissions, film and music industry
participation. We’ve both grown in tandem
with the City of Temecula itself over the
years, from 5,000 to now over 100,000 people
– what a great thing to celebrate
together!” exclaims Ciara Coyle, Public
Relations Manager, Pechanga Resort &
Casino.
The festival’s social calendar starts
with Opening Night Festivities, followed by
daily & nightly filmmaker/musician
receptions, industry workshops, a Lifetime
and Career Achievement Awards Black Tie
Gala, a Sunday morning Hot Air Balloon Ride,
a Closing Night Wrap party and Best of Fest
special screening presentations and much
more. The 11th Annual Temecula Valley

Steve Dorff is a fantastic addition to our panel this year - not only because he's receiving his TVIFF Lifetime Achievement Award, but he adds such value to the panel.
